A man who fell from a moving vehicle in Wood County on Sunday was allegedly car surfing according to sheriff’s officials.

The accident occurred near the town of Emory on County Road 3346 when Christopher Price, 19 was riding on top of a moving car and fell off. The Wood County Sheriff’s Office did not identify the driver of the car.

Mr. Price was taken to Mother Frances Hospital in Tyler where he died the next day. The driver of the car fled the scene.
