A man died on Monday in Amarillo after he was thrown from a moving vehicle near the intersection of Southwest Third Avenue and Bryan Street.

The incident occurred at approximately 7 p.m. Monday when witnesses said that the man was thrown from an SUV with his hands and feet tied together. The Amarillo Police Department arrived and attempted to perform CPR, but Lance Lee Hooser, 29, died at the scene.

Officials stated that the man had also suffered two gunshot wounds.
