Atascosa County, Texas — August 27, 2012
William Bohlke, the mayor of Hollywood Park, was killed Monday on his ranch in what was only described as a livestock-related accident. The Atascosa County Sheriff’s Office stated that Mr. Bohlke was was found dead somewhere on his property, but there were few other details.
It is not known if anyone else was injured in this accident. The exact location of this accident was not released.
According to the National Agricultural Tractor Safety Initiative, farm tractors accounted for the deaths of 2,165 people between 1992 and 2001 and were the leading source of fatal occupational injuries in agriculture, forestry, and fishing.
