The parents of a 1-month old infant that died as the result of a hot car were arrested Monday in Ardmore according to police.

Angela Randolph, 26, and Christopher Randolph, 28, were traveling from Ohio to Oklahoma with only one window rolled down in their car and no air conditioning when the Ardmore Police Department said their 23-day old daughter died. When Mrs. Rudolph discovered their daughter wasn’t breathing she stopped at a store on Michelin Road and called 911.

The baby died at Mercy Memorial Hospital of heat related illness.

According to Keep Kids Alive Drive 25, 37,261 people died on roadways in the United States in 2008.
