Stonelick, Ohio – December 29, 2011

The Ohio State Highway Patrol reports that two people were killed Thursday night when a vehicle crashed in Stonelick Township.

According to reports, the accident occurred just before 10 p.m. when a Honda Civic went out of control on a curve of Stonelick Williams Corner Road. The car was being driven by 19-year-old Skye Gabriel, and reports show that it collided with a tree after leaving the roadway near a bridge. The car was carrying at least two additional passengers at the time that it wrecked.

Those killed in the accident were Ms. Gabriel and 18-year-old Corey Peacock. It appears that the only individual to survive the wreck was Kaitlyn Rust, 19.

The investigation is ongoing at this time, and police have not commented on possible causes for the fatal accident.
