Cincinnati, Ohio – August 11, 2011

According to the Cincinnati Police Department, a 46-year-old man was fatally injured in a two-vehicle crash Thursday morning. The wreck occurred near the Brent Spence Bridge on Interstate 75, and the deceased individual has been identified as Glen Delk.

Mr. Delk was reportedly driving a Dodge Ram that was also occupied by Kathy Delk, 32. The pair was traveling on Interstate 75 in the pickup truck when a northbound Jeep Cherokee went out of control and caused a collision near Hopple Street.

The driver of the Cherokee was Nicholas Taylor, 38. His vehicle went on to contact a guardrail after crashing with the pickup truck.

Mr. Delk died after being thrown partway out of the vehicle. Ms. Delk was also injured, and she went to University Hospital for treatment.

Authorities suspect that excessive speed and intoxication by alcohol may have been factors, though the investigation is still ongoing.
