Moorefield Township, Ohio — February 22, 2011

An unidentified individual sustained minor injuries in a three-vehicle collision that happened on Tuesday morning.

The Ohio State Highway Patrol said the incident occurred at approximately 8 a.m. on State Route 4. Police did not release any information regarding the status of the individuals involved or their identities. A Toyota SUV was traveling south when it reportedly crossed the center line and struck the side of an oncoming vehicle.

This impact caused the second vehicle to crash into a nearby pole. The SUV then struck another vehicle head-on. Police transported the driver of the SUV to nearby Springfield Regional Hospital for treatment of minor injuries.

A citation was issued to the SUV driver for failure to control the vehicle.
