As Davonte approached Great Neck Road, around 5:35 p.m., he was hit by a 2007 Honda CR-V SUV driven by 29-year-old Syosset resident Esteban Rodriguez-Ynoa.

Paramedics airlifted Davonte to Stony Brook University Medical Center for treatment of two leg fractures. Witnesses have been asked to call (631) 854-8152 with any additional information.
