Troy, Missouri — August 19, 2012

Sunday, at around 1:30 p.m., a pedestrian was seriously injured in an accident on Interstate 55 and Interstate 270 in Troy.

Missouri State Highway Patrol officials say that Edgar A. Matthew, 22, from Bonne Terre, was driving north in a 2000 Volkswagon Jetta when the accident occurred. Police say Mr. Edgar traveled across a solid white line and struck a pedestrian, Michael A. Holt, 19, from Oklahoma City, Oklahoma.

Mr. Holt was seriously injured, and taken to St. Anthony Hospital for treatment. His current condition remains unknown.

    I witnessed this accident;  it did not take place where your map shows.  It was in South St Louis County at the intersection of I-55 and I-270.  The pedestrian was walking where the 2 interstates merge together; not in a traffic lane but definitely in a highly dangerous place.  Also, the driver was out of the driving lane. 
    It was a horrible accident, but if, by posting on this site, you are suggesting that it be made safe to walk along an interstate, and at a place where 4(plus)-lane interstates merge, then I don’t think I understand.

    This is the mos tramatic thing that has ever happend to me, i cant believe i made the internet news.. i need any witnesses to contact me so i can get statements to sue.
