Poplar Bluff, Missouri – July 24, 2012

Tuesday, just after 2:30 a.m., a crash that injured a woman occurred on U.S. Route 60 near Missouri B in Poplar Bluff.

Officials with the Missouri State Highway Patrol say that Samantha T. Sloan-Johnson, 24, from Lampe, was driving east on U.S. Route 60 when the crash took place. Ms. Sloan-Johnson swerved to avoid an animal in the road, and drove off the roadway. When she crashed, her passenger, Deborah A. Hubbard, 56, from Sparta, was injured.

Ms. Hubbard was not wearing a seat belt at the time of the crash. She was taken to Poplar Bluff Regional Medical Center to be treated for her injuries.
