Cole County, Missouri – December 5, 2011
The Missouri State Highway Patrol reports that a 19-year-old from Jefferson City was seriously hurt Monday in a single-vehicle accident.
The crash happened around 2:30 p.m. on U.S. 50, according to reports. The teenage driver has been identified as Cameron L. Moayer, who was headed west in a Mitsubishi when it wrecked near Lookout Trail. Police say the Mitsubishi ran off the side of U.S. 50 before it hit a culvert and a rock embankment. The car then rolled multiple times, ejecting Mr. Moayer in the process.
The teenager was seriously hurt, and had to be flown to University Hospital in Columbia for immediate medical attention. There was no word on his current condition.
