Greene County, Missouri — June 31, 2011
Police say two people were seriously injured near Springfield early Sunday morning when they were run over by a pickup truck.
The Missouri State Highway Patrol reports that 25-year-old Andrew A. Romejko of Springfield and 21-year-old Amanda R. Richards of Ozark were lying on the ground for unknown reasons around 3:35 a.m. They were run over by a 2004 Chevrolet Silverado pickup truck driven by 28-year-old Clarksville, Tennesee resident James C. Breeze.
Paramedics transported both Ms. Richards and Mr. Romejko to St. John’s Hospital for treatment.
According to the Missouri State Highway Patrol, 37,786 traffic accidents in 2009 resulted in death or personal injury.
