Police say a Braymer woman was killed when a vehicle flipped on Missouri State Route A early Saturday morning.
The Missouri State Highway Patrol reports that 20-year-old Brett L. Clevenger of Braymer was traveling north in a 2002 Dodge 1500 pickup truck around 12:55 a.m. For unknown reasons, Mr. Clevenger’s vehicle veered into the southbound lane and into a ditch on the west side of the road.
Investigators say the pickup then flipped, throwing 20-year-old passenger Dana C. Brooke, also of Braymer. A coroner’s department official pronounced Ms. Brooke dead on scene around 2:45 a.m.
According to the Missouri State Highway Patrol, 37,786 traffic accidents in 2009 resulted in death or personal injury.
