Taney County, Missouri – July 22, 2011
A vehicle crashed into a guardrail Friday morning injuring two teens and a baby from Branson West.
According to the Missouri State Highway Patrol, 19-year-old Sidney E. Granda drove a 1995 Honda Accord east on Shepherd of the Hills Expressway. About 7:20 a.m. Ms. Granda lost control of her vehicle, crossed the center line and crashed into the guardrail.
Ms. Granda suffered moderated injuries and was taken to Cox South Hospital in Springfield for medical attention. Megan E. Yaw, 17, and infant Kira N. Grimm were in the vehicle with Ms. Granda. They both suffered minor injuries and were taken to Skaggs Regional Medical Center in Branson.
The exact location of this accident has not been released.
According to the Missouri State Highway Patrol, drivers under 21 were involved in 9,691 personal injury accidents in 2009. A total of 14,904 people were injured in those crashes.
