McDonald County, Missouri – July 20, 2011
A car ran off the road and flipped injuring two people from Oklahoma Wednesday night.
The Missouri State Highway Patrol reports, Mary C. Byrne, 43, of Miami, Oklahoma, drove a 1993 Dodge Stealth north on Missouri Route 43 two miles south of Tiff City. The vehicle went off the road on a curve and flipped about 10:30 p.m.
Dallas C. King, 35, of Miami, Oklahoma was in the vehicle with Ms. Byrne. Both suffered minor injuries and were taken to Freeman West Hospital in Joplin.
The exact location of this accident has not been released.
The National Highway Traffic Safety Administration‘s National Motor Vehicle Crash Causation Study found that driver error was the primary cause of 90 percent of major traffic crashes.
