Polk County, Missouri – July 19, 2011

A Fair Play resident rear-ended another vehicle sending two people from Bolivar to the hospital Tuesday morning.

According to the Missouri State Highway Patrol, a 1997 Ford Taurus driven by Brian S. Uentille, 37, of Bolivar stopped on Missouri Route 32 to make a left turn east of Fair Play. William R. Bagby, 76, of Fair Play did not stop his 1999 Dodge Caravan and crashed into the back end of the Ford about 11:15 a.m.

Mr. Uentille and Vellora M. Uentille, 36, of Bolivar suffered minor injuries. Both were transported to Citizens Memorial Hospital in Bolivar for medical attention.

The exact location of this accident has not been released.

According to the Missouri State Highway Patrol, drivers over 55 were involved in 10,457 personal injury accidents in 2009. A total of 15,616 people were injured in those crashes.
