Dallas County, Missouri – July 18, 2011
Two teens in a pickup truck were injured when their truck went off road and rolled Monday afternoon.
Levi A. Boyd, 16, of Louisburg drove a 1984 Chevrolet Scottsdale pickup truck north on Sterling Road just north of Missouri Route 38. About 12:40 p.m. the truck went sliding out of control off the right side of the road. The truck then crashed into a ditch and flipped, according to the Missouri State Highway Patrol.
Levi and his passenger, Artemio Rodriguez, 17, of Buffalo suffered minor injuries. They were transported to St. John’s Hospital in Springfield for medical attention.
The exact location of this accident has not been released.
According to the Missouri State Highway Patrol, drivers under 21 were involved in 9,691 personal injury accidents in 2009. A total of 14,904 people were injured in those crashes.
