Washington County, Missouri – June 26, 2011
A motorcyclist suffered moderate injuries when he crashed into an all-terrain vehicle Sunday afternoon.
According to the Missouri State Highway Patrol, Chad A. Denent, 22, of Steelville drove a 2005 Yamaha YF-2450 west on Pigeon Roost Road when Kaleb W. Keeven, 21, of Steelville on a 2006 Bombadier attempted to make a left turn onto Forest Service Road 2695. Mr. Denent smashed into the Bombadier a little after 1 p.m.
Mr. Denent suffered moderate injuries. Mr. Keeven suffered minor injuries. Both men were transported to Missouri Baptist Sullivan Hospital for treatment.
The Yamaha incurred extensive damages and was towed from the scene. The Bombadier incurred minor damages and was driven from the scene.
According to the Missouri State Highway Patrol, motorcycles were involved in 1,843 personal injury accidents in 2009. A total of 2,182 people were injured in those crashes.
