Kennebec County, Maine – June 26, 2012
An unknown number of vehicles collided on Armory Road Tuesday morning.
According to the Waterville Police Department, an unidentified driver was traveling in his vehicle around 8:40 a.m. when he crashed for unknown reasons into another vehicle. It is unknown how many victims were involved or how extensive their injuries were.
It is unclear how much damage the vehicles sustained from the crash.
Officers are conducting an ongoing investigation to determine the cause of this incident.
The National Motor Vehicle Crash Causation Study conducted by the National Highway Traffic Safety Administration found that driver error was the primary cause in 90 percent of major traffic crashes.
