Kennebec County, Maine – June 20, 2012
An unknown number of vehicles collided at 259 Main Street Wednesday morning.
According to the Waterville Police Department, rescue personnel were dispatched to the scene of a wreck at Grondin’s Certified Cleaners around 11:25 a.m. It is unknown how many victims were involved or the extent of their injuries.
It is unclear what damages the vehicles sustained during the crash.
Officers are conducting an ongoing investigation to determine the cause of this incident.
The National Motor Vehicle Crash Causation Study conducted by the National Highway Traffic Safety Administration found that driver error was the primary cause in 90 percent of major traffic crashes.
