Lewiston, Maine — November 29, 2011
A teen girl was one of two pedestrians hit by a vehicle in Lewiston on Tuesday evening.
According to the Lewiston Police Department, 23-year-old Lewiston resident Larry Bryant was traveling along Horton Street around 9:55 p.m. Mr. Horton then turned onto Ash Street and proceeded toward the intersection with Bartlett Street.
Investigators say that as the vehicle entered the intersection, it struck 21-year-old Greene resident Christopher Shirley and an unidentified female, 17. Mr. Bryant stopped immediately to administer aid and inform the police of what had happened.
Paramedics took the girl to Central Maine Medical Center for possible broken bones. Mr. Shirley was also hospitalized, but the nature of his injuries are unclear.
