Police reported two vehicles collided on Harrison Street Friday afternoon.

According to Great Bend Police Department, around 4:47 p.m., Lavert Johnson was driving south on Harrison Street when the driver failed to see a vehicle driven by Lorrie Thompson had stopped ahead of them. It is unknown how many victims were involved or how extensive their injuries were.

It is unknown how much vehicle damage was caused by this accident.

The cause of the accident remains under investigation.

The National Motor Vehicle Crash Causation Study conducted by the National Highway Traffic Safety Administration found that driver error was the primary cause in 90 percent of major traffic crashes.
