A woman died and three others are injured after two vehicles collided on Highway 54 near Bucklin Thursday morning.

According to the Kansas Highway Patrol, around 7 a.m., 19-year-old Taylor Ziebol was driving west on Highway 54 when for unknown reasons, she crossed to the left of center and collided with a vehicle driven by 56-year-old Raymond Noriega.

Ms. Ziebol was taken to a nearby hospital where she died shortly upon arrival. Ms. Ziebol’s passengers, 17-year-old Shannon Ziebol and 15-year-old Adam Ziebol were taken to nearby hospitals with undisclosed injuries. Mr. Noriega was also treated for his injuries.

The accident remains under investigation.

According to the HEARTS Network, more than 15 people die every day in crashes associated with teen drivers. It was created in association with the National Safety Council.
