Police say an employee died Monday during a forklift accident at an Indianapolis recycling center.

According to officers with the Indianapolis Metropolitan Police Department, James Dozier, 30, was on the job at Chancellor A. Keesling Recycling Center, located near the corner of 10th Street and Brookside Drive. Some time before noon, Mr. Dozier was operating a forklift when he became trapped between the forklift and another one.

Paramedics responded to the scene and transported Mr. Dozier to Indiana University Health Methodist Hospital, but doctors were unable to save him. It is unclear whether the Occupational Safety and Health Administration will investigate.
