Steuben County, Indiana – August 31, 2013

Police say a motorcyclist and his passenger were injured Saturday during a collision with another vehicle in the Angola area.

According to deputies with the Steuben County Sheriff’s Office, Pleasant Lake resident Daniel Fuller was operating a motorcycle was operating a motorcycle near the corner of Indiana 327 and Maumee Street (U.S. Route 20). Around 3:10 p.m., Mr. Fuller was hit by a vehicle driven by Fort Wayne resident David White.

Paramedics responded to the scene and airlifted Mr. White to Fort Wayne’s Parkview Regional Medical Center for treatment, along with his passenger, Rhonda Fuller, his wife. Mr. White and his passenger escaped unhurt.

According to the Indiana Criminal Justice Institute, motorcycle collisions rose 3.6 percent from 2010 to 2011.
