Allen County, Indiana – August 13, 2013

Police are exploring the possibility that fatigue was a factor Tuesday when a driver crashed  in the New Haven area, killing his female passenger.

According to deputies with the Allen County Sheriff’s Department, an unidentified male motorist, 21, was behind the wheel of a vehicle as it traveled along Dawkins Road. As the driver approached Webster Road, around 11:25 p.m., he apparently lost contol.

Investigators say the car veered off the roadway, plunged down a slope and hit a nearby tree. Paramedics responded to the scene, but were unable to save a female passenger, 20.
