Mishawaka, Indiana — December 30, 2011
An accident at the intersection of Edison lakes Parkway and Grape Road on Friday at 1:23 p.m resulted in minor injuries. Courtney Toland, 20, was driving northbound on Grape Road behind Gloria Hupp, 52. Ms. Hupp started to go through the intersection, then stopped, causing Ms. Toland’s 2009 Chevrolet Impala to hit her 2005 Nissan Mirano.
The Mishawaka Police Department reported to the scene and filed a report. Ms. Hupp complained of back pain in the accident.
According to the National Motor Vehicle Crash Causation Study conducted by the National Highway Traffic Safety Administration, driver error is responsible for more than 90 percent of serious traffic accidents.
