Rockville, Indiana — January 21, 2012
Tina Redman, 41, is in critical condition at Methodist Hospital in Indianapolis after a three-car collision on U.S. Route 36 in Parke County on Saturday at 6 p.m. The Parke County Sheriff’s Department ruled that Wendy Thompson, 33, had a blodd alcohol content three times the legal limit in the crash.
Ms. Thompson was was driving on U.S. 36 when she rear-ended the vehicle driven by Ms. Redman near Raccoon Lake. A Jeep Cherokee was also collected into the crash.
An unidentified 15-year old passenger was also injured, but has been released from the hospital.
According to the National Highway Traffic Safety Administration in 2008 more than 2.3 million reported intersection-related crashes, resulted in more than 7,770 fatalities and approximately 733,000 injuries.
