Jeffersonville, Indiana — January 20, 2012
Charles G. McKinney, 43, was struck and killed while crossing 10th Street near Howard Avenue on Friday. Mr. McKinney was crossing to the north just before 9 p.m. when he was struck by an unidentified driver. Mr. Mckinney perished from blunt-force trauma injuries at 9:15 p.m. at Louisville’s University Hospital.
The driver of the vehicle stated that he did not see Mr. McKinney until he was directly in front of the vehicle and he attempted to stop. The Jeffersonville Police Department does not anticipate charges against the driver.
