Syracuse, Indiana – October 12, 2011

A 30-year-old man suspected of dealing methamphetamines was involved in a crash Wednesday night, according to reports from the Syracuse Police Department.

The individual taken into custody by authorities was Goshen resident Justin Simpson. Authorities say he fled from police after undercover personnel bought drugs from him at around 7:30 p.m.

The police chase took place on County Line Road, and Mr. Simpson was reportedly near State Road 13 when his moped crashed. He then continued to run away from police, but was apprehended not far from the crash site.

It is not known if Mr. Simpson’s moped came in contact with another vehicle or if anyone was hurt in the crash.

Mr. Simpson is being held in jail at this time.
