Officials say a motorcyclist was hospitalized after a two-vehicle collision in Hayward Monday morning.

According to California Highway Patrol, an unidentified motorcyclist and the unidentified driver of a second vehicle collided for unknown reasons near the intersection of Interstate 880 and Alvarado Boulevard around 7:25 a.m. It is not clear whom had the right-of-way at the time.

The motorcyclist was hospitalized with a broken leg. The identities of those involved have not been released.

Mr. Vega’s unidentified male passenger from Riverbank died from his injuries.

Mr. Vega was hospitalized with serious injuries. It is not clear if Mr. Monroy was hurt.

Ms. Gaytan-Garcia was cited in the crash and then arrested on an outstanding warrant.
