Napa County, California — July 10, 2013

Officials say three pedestrians, including an infant, were hospitalized after being struck by a vehicle in American Canyon Wednesday night.

According to the Napa County Sheriff’s Office, 55-year-old Sarbjeet Kaur of American Canyon and 32-year-old Sukhjeet Kaur of American Canyon were walking across the roadway near the intersection of Danrose Drive and Northampton Drive around 8:50 p.m. when they were struck by a vehicle driven by 81-year-old Robert Harris of American Canyon.

Both women were transported to Queen of the Valley Medical Center with non-life-threatening injuries. The infant they were pushing in a stroller, 16-month-old Paramakaal Riat, was also hospitalized.

Mr. Harris was not hurt.

Officials are conducting an ongoing investigation to determine the cause of this incident.
