Red Bluff, California – July 19, 2012

Thursday, at around 7:10 a.m., a Red Bluff man driving a 1998 Buick Century was killed in an accident on Cone Grove Road and California State Route 99.

Officials with the California Highway Patrol say that Frank Anton Dufrain, 37, died when his car rolled off of the road. Officials don’t know what caused Mr. Dufrain to roll off the road at this time. Mr. Dufrain was not wearing a safety belt and was thrown from his vehicle.

It is uncertain whether or not anyone else was involved in the accident, or if any other injuries were incurred.

The National Safety Council reports that wearing a seat belt can prevent serious injury in a crash by up to 50 percent.
