Police say a pedestrian was hurt Saturday after being hit by a vehicle in the Monterey area.

According to officers with the Monterey Police Department, an unidentified motorist was operating a vehicle through the area at an unknown hour. As the vehicle approached the corner of Scott and Pacific, it hit an unidentified pedestrian.

None of those involved has been identified by name. The nature and severity of the injuries is unclear.
