Mentone, California – November 27, 2011
A Mentone man died Sunday weeks after he was struck by a vehicle on Mentone Boulevard on November 1.
According to the San Bernardino County Sheriff’s Department, 39-year-old Mentone resident Mark Lopez was walking across Mentone Boulevard in the crosswalk as a vehicle traveled west on the highway. About 6:40 p.m. the vehicle struck Mr. Lopez east of Turquoise Avenue.
Mr. Lopez was taken to Loma Linda University Medical Center with serious injuries. On November 14 Mr. Lopez was transferred to Arrowhead Regional Medical Center where he died Tuesday evening November 27.
