San Diego, California – September 28, 2011
An accident on University Avenue Wednesday evening caused seriously injuries to a bicyclist.
According to the San Diego Police Department, a 25-year-old man was riding his bicycle west on University Avenue. A 35-year-old man was sitting in his parked 2008 Dodge sedan facing west. About 7 p.m. the older man opened the car door, which hit the bicyclist. The rider was thrown from his bicycle. The exact location of this accident has not been released.
The rider was transported to a hospital. He suffered serious head injuries.
