Anaheim, California – September 28, 2011

A collision involving four vehicles on California Route 91 left two people injured Wednesday morning.

According to the California Highway Patrol, a woman drove a Mazda 3 west at a high speed on California Route 91. East of North Imperial Highway she attempted to pass a semi truck, but clipped the truck. She swerved into the Fastrak and hit a Ford Mustang about 10:10 a.m. A fourth vehicle was also struck in the crash.

The woman driving the Mazda and the driver of the Ford were hurt in the crash. They were transported to a hospital for medical attention.

According to the National Highway Traffic Safety Administration, speeding vehicles contribute to 93 fatal traffic accidents every day.
