Huntington Beach, California – September 26, 2011

A man and two children were hurt Monday as they crossed a street and were hit by a vehicle.

According to the Huntington Beach Police Department, a father carried his 1-year-old child and his 3-year-old rode a tricycle as they crossed Edwards Street. They crossed in the marked crosswalk at the intersection with Central Park Drive. A vehicle was making a left turn onto Edwards Street and struck the man and his two children.

The father and the baby rolled onto the hood of the car. They suffered bruises and minor injuries. The older child on the tricycle was wearing a helmet. The car drove on top of the tricycle. They were transported to University of California – Irvine Medical Center with non-life-threatening injuries.
