Westminster, California – September 21, 2011
A Huntington Beach man was killed Wednesday morning when he was hit by a car.
According to the Westminster Police Department, 65-year-old Huntington Beach resident Carl Scaffide was walking near the intersection of McFadden Avenue and Beach Boulevard. About 4:15 a.m. he was hit by a vehicle.
Mr. Scaffide was declared dead at the scene. The driver of the car was not injured in the crash. Alcohol is not believed to be a contributing factor in the collision.
