Modesto, California – August 23, 2011
The malfunction of a semi caused a collision on California Route 99 Tuesday afternoon and left three people injured.
According to the California Highway Patrol, a semi hauling vehicles malfunctioned about 3:10 p.m. The malfunction caused the semi to collide with a minivan on California Route 99. The semi then smashed into a support column for the Hatch Road overpass.
Lanes of traffic on California Route 99 were shut down for at least three hours.
Injuries were suffered by at least three individuals as a result of this crash.
