Anaheim, California — March 2, 2011
Police say a crash involving at least three vehicles along California State Route 91 in Anaheim on Wednesday evening left four travelers hurt.
The California Highway Patrol reports that a 2005 Hyundai driven by 36-year-old Belmontresident Edgar Aragon was apparently traveling east on California State Route 91, not far from Gypsum Canyon Road, around 11:30 p.m. when the crash occurred. A white sport-utility vehicle, a red sedan and a black sport-utility vehicle were also involved in the crash.
Although the nature of the crash has not been released, investigators say Mr. Aragon sustained moderate injury in the crash. A passenger, 21-year-old Fontanaresident Anghy Aragon, suffered injuries described as minor.
Meanwhile, 36-year-old Burbank resident Jessica Vasquez, also a passenger, received the most serious injuries, which paramedics described as major. A third passenger, 22-year-old Fullerton resident German Mora, sustained moderate injury.
Paramedics transported all four victims to the hospital for treatment. Police shut down traffic along California State Route 91 for roughly 110 minutes while they attended to the injured and cleared debris from the roadway.
