Oxnard, California — January 9, 2011
Police say a motorcycle and a car collided in Oxnard Sunday evening, leaving two women dead.
The Oxnard Police Department reports that the two women were riding north on the motorcycle along Rice Avenue around 5:20 p.m. when they were hit by a southbound Lincoln Town Car. Police say the Town Car was in the process of turning left onto Camino Del Sol.
One of the victims, an Oxnard woman, 22, was pronounced dead at the scene. A Santa Paula woman, 20, was riding on the back and was transported to Ventury County Medical Center and later died.
Investigators are not sure whether alcohol or drugs were a factor in the crash.
