Huntington Beach, California — January 9, 2011
Police say a bicyclist suffered serious injuries Sunday when two cars collided along Pacific Coast Highway and rolled down an embankment into his path.
The Huntington Beach Police Department reports that the two vehicles collided around 8:15 a.m. along Pacific Coast Highway, near Seapoint Avenue, then flipped and rolled down a hill. They came to rest — one on its wheels – on a trail where the bicyclist was riding.
The bicyclist suffered the most serious injuries and was transported to a nearby hospital, along with one of the motorists. The second motorist was treated at the scene and released.
The crash remains under investigation.
