Police say have been confirmed dead after a semi caught fire during a crash involving 10 vehicles on Interstate 210 in Upland.

Police say two victims, both men, were discovered dead in separate vehicles.

The California Highway Patrol reports that the crash occurred near San Antonio Avenue in San Bernardino County, just east of the Los Angeles County line. It remains unclear what triggered the crash, but the impact caused the semi to catch fire, leaving it fully engulfed in flames.

Police shut down eastbound lanes of I-210 at Baseline Road in Claremont in order to conduct an investigation and clear debris from the roadway, backing up traffic for five hous. Traffic fully resoted by 11:30 p.m.
