San Francisco, California — November 17, 2010
Police say Nu Ha Dam, 65, was struck and killed by a University of California-San Francisco shuttle bus on Wednesday while walking just two blocks from her home.
The San Francisco Police Department reports that Ms. Dam was crossing Geary Street using the Leavenworth Street crosswalk around 12:25 p.m. when she was hit by the bus as it turned. Upon hearing the collision, eyewitnesses reoprt, the bus driver backed up and ran over Ms. Dam again and she was pronounced dead at the scene.
Investigators report Ms. Dam resided in the 300 block of Leavenworth, a mere two blocks from the scene of the crash. The incident remains under investigation.
