Police say Tzu Tseng Wang, 89, of Rossmoor, is in critical condition after he was hit by a vehicle while crossing an intersection in Los Alamitos.
The Los Alamitos Police Department reports that Mr. Wang attempted to cross near the corner of Los Alamitos Boulevard and Orangewood Avenue around 6:50 a.m. Thursday when he was hit by a Honda Civic. The driver, 60, hit Mr. Wang in the crosswalk, inflicting him with multiple injuries to the legs, hip and head.
He was transported to Long Beach Memorial Medical Center, where he was listed in stable condition.
The crash remains under investigation. Witnesses have been asked to call police at (562) 431-2255, extension 418.
