Alpine, California — October 2, 2010

Catherine Marie Harless, 63, of Alpine, was killed as a result of a head-on collision in Alpine, just east of Flinn Springs County Park, Saturday night.

Ms. Harless was a passenger in a pickup truck that collided with another pickup truck while traveling on Alpine Boulevard near Dunbar Lane around 8:30 p.m. She reportedly was not wearing a safety belt at the time of the crash.

Ms. Harless died while still on scene, roughly 45 minutes after the accident.
